     2.  WHAT IS A COOKIE/TRACKER?

Cookies and other trackers (“Cookies”) are technologies storing or retrieving information on your browser or your device (computer, tablet, mobile, etc.) when visiting online services. Cookies are widely used by websites, mobile applications, software or emails.

Cookies do not recognize you personally, but rather the device you use. Cookies simply give information about your browsing activities in order to recognize the device later on in order to improve the browsing experience, save your preferences or even adapt the services offered to you on the Websites.

You can block, at any time, the Cookies used on the Websites:

  • through the consent management platform made available to you on the Websites when you first log on the Websites and always available on the Websites through this Cookies Policy (see section 2)
  • by setting up your browser according to the instructions below (see section 4).

Please also refer to our KASPR Privacy Policy  which supplements this Cookies Policy to the extent any personal data is collected through Cookies.

The categories of Cookies used on the Websites are the following:

  • Necessary Cookies, which enable the proper functioning of the Websites (security, facilitate browsing, display of the webpages, etc.). Such Cookies cannot be disabled through our consent management platform but you may disable these by changing your browser settings as described below (see section 4). If you do so, you will still be able to navigate the Websites, but some of the Websites’ functions may be affected.
  • Performance Cookies (also known as analytics or audience measurement Cookies), which are used to measure and improve the Websites performance by collecting information on how you interact with the Websites. These Cookies collect information in an aggregated or generalized statistical form.
  • Functional Cookies (including social media Cookies), which are used to enhance functionality, allow for personalization and enable you to interact with social plugins on the Websites and share content on social networks.
  • Advertising Cookies, which are used to enable the placement of advertisements, including by our advertising partners, to measure their effectiveness and to adapt their content to your browsing and your profile. In particular, KASPR may present ads to you on other websites to promote relevant services, articles or events that KASPR thinks you would like to hear about.

     2.  HOW TO CHOOSE AND CHANGE COOKIE SETTINGS

To obtain your valid consent for the use and storage of Cookies in the browser you use to access the Websites and to properly document your choices, we use a consent management platform, CookieFirst, provided by Digital Data Solutions BV, Plantage Middenlaan 42a, 1018 DH, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (https://cookiefirst.com) .

When you access the Websites, a connection is established with the consent management platform’s server to give us the possibility to obtain valid consent from you to the use of certain Cookies. The consent management platform then stores a Cookie in your browser in order to be able to activate only those Cookies to which you have consented and to properly document it. The processed data is stored until the predefined storage period expires or you request to delete the data. Certain mandatory legal storage periods may apply notwithstanding the aforementioned.

Our website and the consent management platform automatically collect and store information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. The following data is collected:

  • Your choices (consent status, withdrawal of consent, etc.);
  • Your IP address, with confidentiality measures;
  • Information about your browser and your device;
  • The date and time you have visited the Websites;
  • The webpage URL where you saved or updated your consent preferences;
  • The approximate location of the user that saved their consent preference;
  • A universally unique identifier (UUID) of the Website visitor that clicked on the consent management platform.

By using the consent management platform available here you can access the complete list of Cookies used on the Websites, and choose to accept or refuse their use. You can consent to our use of Cookies according to the categories of Cookies or choose from the complete list, except for the necessary Cookies that do not require your consent. The list is updated regularly.

     3.  WHAT THIRD-PARTY COMPANIES ARE USING COOKIES ON THE WEBSITES?

As indicated above, the Websites use Cookies from third-party companies.

In this context, KASPR acts as a joint data controller for the collection and transmission of data to the third-party but only to the extent that it is technically necessary. Beyond the collection and technical transmission, KASPR does not have any control over third-party Cookies. KASPR is not responsible for the sharing, the publications, comments or any other contents and any other data processing activities of the third-party websites.

KASPR therefore recommends you review the Privacy Policies and the Terms of Use of these third-party companies, that are accessible through the links provided in our consent management platform, before accepting third-party Cookies.
